Comment by Sara Kimpe on May 9, 2011 at 4:13pm The Meeting Well guidebook is a great way for people to select healthy choices for a potluck or snack and it also includes tips physical activity. Many of the worksites I work with find this very useful. I thought it might be useful for some the projects you are working on too. Meeting Well Informaiton
Comment by Sara Kimpe on April 28, 2011 at 11:10am Tammy your materials look great! Are you still looking for more stores? I'll keep my eyes open for you.
Hi all,
Here's an example of the marketing materials we're using for the Healthy Foods Here project. If you have possible store leads in Auburn, Des Moines, or Federal Way, let us know!
Thanks,
Tammy
Nutrition data web sites
This seems to be one of the better nutrition sites web sites I've been to, called Self Nutrition Data . It breaks down food not only by nutritional content, but also fullness factor, glycemic load and inflamation factor with pretty, easy to understand graphics (well easy as far as nutritional labels are concerned).
But I did notice that there are LOTS of ads on the page, and they even seem to be paying for a spot on the main Google seach page.
Do folks have other, equally or more impressive sites they use? I've tried things like Fitday and MyFitnessPal but they don't have as robust of a report on each food.
